Have you ever thought, “I just don’t have time to exercise?”  If you answered “YES” you are not alone.  With packed schedules how can we find time for one more thing?  The thought of exercise being a chore or a punishment doesn’t help motivate us either.  However, the benefits of exercising just 30 minutes a day most days of the week are fantastic and will produce tremendous overall health benefits.

Here three simple steps to finding the time to exercise!

  1. RE-FRAME IT!  Learn to think about exercise in a new way.  For example — If you don’t have time to exercise because you are always working, you can re-frame your exercise time to be part of your work day as it will enhance your work performance and overall confidence at work.
  2. SCHEDULE IT!  When we plan ahead and schedule something it becomes automatic. Utilizing a personal trainer will enhance your adherence to your new schedule.  When you have your personal trainer waiting for you it’s alot harder to put exercise on hold.
  3. PLAY TO WIN!  Set yourself up to be successful. If your goals are to lofty you may make excuses and repeat the deadly pattern of putting exercise off.  This type of procrastination will only enhance your lack of belief in yourself. Start out with one, two or three days of exercise a week and build from there.
